In the spirit of this season when many of us look to the past, the present, and the coming new year, I first of all wish to thank all who’ve joined us on our journey… to a digital future that holds much promise!
Looking back on 2015 I’m happy our eKitabu team, together with the Kenya Publishers Association and in cooperation with Kenya’s Ministry of Education, successfully delivered ebooks to ALL schools in the Government of Kenya’s Digischool Pilot across 4 counties of Kenya: Murang’a, Nyamira, Nandi, and Samburu. In keeping with the national spirit of Digischool we delivered to all schools in the Pilot fully and equally to the most remote Pilot school deep in Nandi County’s Mbogo Vale.

Looking forward to the 2016 Digischool rollout, I believe all in our industry agree there is yet much work we can do and must do to make the digital transition. However, together we have made a good beginning. Public schools and private schools across all 47 counties of Kenya, including the schools in the Digischool Pilot and more than 400 others that entered the Digital Essay Competition, are clear evidence that Kenyan education is going digital—with help from Kenya’s publishers and in full cooperation with MOE.
Yours most sincerely,
